Terms of Service

StockBook · last updated 9 September 2026

The short version

StockBook is a free inventory app for marketplace sellers. Your business data is yours — we don't sell it and you can export or delete it whenever you like. In return, the app is offered as-is: keep your own records, and don't rely on it as your only copy of anything that matters.

Using StockBook

You need a Google account to sign in, and you must be old enough to run a business where you live. One account is one business. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including anything the staff you invite do — so invite carefully and remove people when they leave.

Your data is yours

You keep every right to the products, vendors, purchases, sales and payments you enter. We store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data from the app at any time, and deleting your account deletes it.

What you agree not to do

  • Try to reach another business's data, or probe the app for ways to.
  • Automate the app in a way that degrades it for other people — scripted bulk requests, scraping, load testing.
  • Upload anything unlawful, or use StockBook to run an unlawful business.
  • Resell or rebrand StockBook as your own service.

Availability

StockBook is free and runs on shared infrastructure. We don't promise it will always be up, always be fast, or never lose data, and we may change or discontinue features. We take nightly encrypted backups because we'd rather not lose your data — but that's our practice, not a guarantee. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. The numbers it shows — stock on hand, cost, margin, what you owe a vendor — are calculated from what you enter, and it's on you to check them before you act on them. StockBook is not accounting, tax or legal advice. To the maximum extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

Ending it

You can stop using StockBook and delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk — where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.

Changes

If we change these terms we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use StockBook after a change means you accept it.
